Merced County has partnered with GrantCity Consulting, LLC to address the critical recovery needs stemming from the Severe Winter Storms, Flooding, and Mudslides that struck in early 2023 (Disaster Relief Incident DR-4683). Recognizing the complexity and magnitude of the damages sustained, GrantCity Consulting was engaged to provide comprehensive disaster recovery advisory services, guiding Merced County through each stage of the recovery process with precision and expertise. Our role in this initiative is multi-faceted, offering a range of services tailored to ensure effective recovery, resilience, and long-term mitigation.

Services provided include, but are not limited to:

• Program Support and Guidance: Providing strategic management to ensure compliance and efficient use of recovery funds.
• Loss Categorization and Funding: Assessing damages and identifying alternate funding sources for full recovery.
• Project Formulation and Compliance: Assisting in developing project worksheets and ensuring regulatory compliance for financial aid.
• Hazard Mitigation: Seeking and applying for funding to protect against future disaster risks.
• Issue Resolution: Addressing challenges throughout the grants management process to maintain recovery timelines.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Acting as a liaison between Merced County, CalOES, FEMA, and other agencies to ensure aligned recovery efforts.
